Tehomet’s SMART.MAX is a next-generation modular smart pole platform designed to support the evolving needs of smart cities. From 5G connectivity and camera surveillance to EV charging, sensors, and environmental monitoring, each pole can be tailored to its location — both functionally and visually.
The SMART.MAX concept is built on a scalable three-part system:
Base Sections (1.8 m / 3.0 m)
Provide structural support and house power sources, base stations, or backup batteries. Shorter bases serve single-function poles; taller ones support multiple technologies.
Extension Modules (0.5–4.0 m)
Adjust the pole’s total height according to the lighting plan or design brief. These modules can also be customized to create distinctive visual identities.
Functional Modules (0.5–1.5 m)
Enable smart integrations such as:
- Camera modules
- Radar & sensor modules
- Audio or speaker systems
- WiFi and 5G communications
- Solar power units
- Lighting control and floodlight attachments
SMART.MAX poles can be configured from 4 to 12 meters tall, and additional external devices — such as air quality sensors, LIDAR scanners, digital signage, or directional wayfinding — can be seamlessly integrated.
Plug-and-play flexibility
Each module features standardized interfaces for power and data, allowing easy upgrades or replacements throughout the pole’s lifecycle. Installations can use traditional concrete foundations or flange plates, depending on site conditions.
