Tehomet automates production in Estonia factory

Tehomet Baltic OÜ is a subsidiary of the Finnish company Tehomet Oy, which produces standard street lighting poles and their parts.

In order to manufacture products at competitive prices, Tehomet factories consistently invest in the automation of their production and new technologies.

• In 2023, the Tehomet Baltic sawing line was renovated and automated.

• In 2024, the plasma cutting robot was rebuilt and new conveyor line was built for the automatic movement of products in the production process.

• In 2025, Tehomet Baltic received from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU 142,450.- EUR, and will build a fully automatic welding robot production line.
  In parallel, the entire production will be digitalized.

Project goal and results

The welding robot production line will allow Tehomet to increase its production volume by 30% and significantly expand the product range and improve product quality.

Work safety improves, the risk of occupational diseases among employees decreases, and the risk of labor availability decreases.

Digitalization of production automates production planning and allows production to be managed remotely. In addition, digitalization helps to optimize production resources and product-material inventories, also enables the accurate measurement of working time.
