Finnish timber as well as water-based preservatives make Tehomet wooden column an environmentally-friendly product. PEFC certification guarantees that the wood has been responsibly acquired.

The CO2 emissions of a wooden pole are up to 70% lower than those of a corresponding steel pole.

Finnish timber certified by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is used in Tehomet’s wooden poles. Approximately 95 percent of Finland’s commercial forests have been certified according to Finland’s PEFC national forest certification system, which establishes requirements for the management and use of forests.

This certification enables the origin of the raw material used in a product to be authenticated. For this PEFC certification, Tehomet has been granted the PEFC certificate, which is valid for five years at a time.
