At Tehomet, the role of logistics goes far beyond transport—it’s about planning, precision, and ensuring seamless cooperation between production, painting, packaging, and delivery. Juho Manninen, Logistics Assistant, is the link who keeps everything moving in sync so that Tehomet’s custom-made products reach customers on schedule.

“One of the important aspects of my role is to make sure things go as planned and stay on schedule—and for that control to go as unnoticed as possible. My goal is that everything flows smoothly and it’s easy for everyone to get along,” Juho explains.

Weekly Planning and Coordination

Every Thursday, Juho prepares a logistics plan for the week ahead, defining the sequence of production tasks, transport schedules, and delivery destinations. His work requires close coordination not only with Tehomet’s factory supervisors and staff, but also with external partners such as FSP, Tehomet’s painting partner, and K-S Rahti, the transport provider.

With a background that includes 12 years in sales and experience managing large-scale operations at a removal company, Juho brings a unique mix of people skills and operational insight. He thrives on problem-solving, responding quickly to surprises while maintaining the big picture.

From Packaging to Major Deliveries

While most of his day is spent at the computer, Juho is also hands-on when needed. He takes part in finishing and packaging of wet-painted products—often massive, one-of-a-kind structures. Notable examples include:

  • 500+ poles delivered for the Jokeri Light Rail line in Helsinki (2021)
  • Multipurpose poles designed for Helsinki’s Senate Square

These projects highlight the scale and complexity of Tehomet’s logistics operations, and the responsibility resting on Juho’s shoulders.

Teamwork and People Skills

Juho’s background in coaching—ten years with Kangasniemi’s men’s second-division ice hockey team and more recently his daughter’s junior C ringette team—translates into strong communication and leadership skills at work.

“I think I’m pretty good with people. Coaching and sales taught me to listen, observe, and instinctively sense how to approach people in the right way at the right time.”

Sports, Family, and Balance

Away from the factory, Juho enjoys sports and staying in top physical shape. Coaching remains part of his life, but these days it’s balanced with family and personal training. Recently, he guided his daughter’s ringette team all the way to the Finnish Championship finals.

Working at Tehomet gives Juho the sense of security and stability that allows him to focus on what matters—his family, his team, and his wellbeing.

“I’m grateful and really appreciate my job at Tehomet. Being able to work in my hometown, in such a successful environment, isn’t something to take for granted. I’ll do everything I can to make sure it stays that way.”
