Tehomet Baltic OÜ, a subsidiary of Finland-based Tehomet Oy, continues its strategic investments in factory automation and digitalization to ensure high-quality, cost-effective production of standard lighting poles and components.
In recent years, the Estonian production facility in Kiiu has undergone significant upgrades:
- 2023: Full automation of the sawing line
- 2024: Reconstruction of the plasma cutting robot and installation of a new conveyor system to streamline product flow
- 2025: A €142,450 grant from the EU’s NextGenerationEU program enabled Tehomet to launch a fully automated welding robot line
Simultaneously, Tehomet Baltic is digitalizing its entire production process.
Impact: Higher Output, Safer Working Conditions, Smarter Operations
The new welding robot line is expected to boost production volume by 30%, improve product quality, and expand the product portfolio.
Workplace safety and employee well-being are also key drivers. Automation reduces physical strain, minimizes exposure to harmful conditions, and mitigates labor availability risks.
With full digitalization, production planning becomes autonomous and can be managed remotely. Resources and inventory are optimized, and working hours can be tracked with precision.
